A Case of acute pulmonary collapse during operation

Abstract

|
|
It may be the most important problem to keep the patent airway during general anesthesia. Unfortunately we experienced wheezing and decreased breathing sound on the left lung field and abnormal finding of blood gas during operation. Atelectesis was shown in the left lung field of chest x-ray. We treated the patient with exchanging endotracheal tube, si ction of secretion, PEEP and drug therapy. Chest X-ray and blood gas analysis were normal in the recovery room.
